After careful thought and consideration, for personal reasons, I have decided to exit my race for US Congress FL-09. Thank all of you for your support, encouragement, and Advice. Thank you to my friends and family for supporting me and keeping me focused.


Even though I am stepping back from my race, I will continue working within the community to fight for social, economic, and environmental justice.  One final call to action, Step up. Join organizations committed to working for the working class and support other progressive candidates.

No one should work 40 hours a week and still struggle to make ends meet. No one should have to choose between bills and medical expenses, or bills and student loan payments. No one deserves to be criminalized by the color of their skin. We deserve better, and I am standing up to fight for it.

We are the only developed nation without universal healthcare. We need universal healthcare. We need to make sure that every man, woman, and child has access to high-quality healthcare regardless of age, income, race, nationality, gender, sexual identity, or citizenship.

In America we say "No one is above the law". It's time this standard is held up across the board. We need to reimagine our Law Enforcement through re-education, retraining, and reallocation of funds. We also need to make sure that our criminal justice system is fair for everyone. The sentencing must fit the crime

Workers are the backbone of this country. We need to drastically improve the lives of the working class by reimagining the "Work/Life Balance".  Workers deserve higher wages, better workplace protections, allowing workers the uninhibited right to unionize,

We are running out of time to come up with a bold response to the climate crisis. We need to enact the Green New Deal, invest in clean and renewable energy jobs and homes, and incentivize training in those fields.

We have a serious housing crisis in the United States. Corporations and Equity firms are purchasing houses in cash and over the asking price. Driving up the demand for housing, which makes finding affordable housing harder. We need to regulate the purchasing of housing by corporate and equity firms to ensure average people have access to affordable housing and expand and incentivize communities to change regulations to build low-income housing.

At the heart of the United States is Democracy, and at the core of democracy is voting rights. Every eligible voter should be able to vote freely and without obstruction. We need to remove all barriers that keep people from making their voices heard. We need to fight hard for free and fair elections. I am committed to ending Citizens United and initiating a program that will allow voters to invest in their preferred candidates.
